The tragic death of DEA Special Agent Enrique "Kiki" Camarena inspired the creation of Red Ribbon Week. Every year across the United States, young people and adults pledge to live healthy, drug-free lives.

According to the DEA, every year on October 23-31, millions increase their knowledge towards a healthy, drug-free lifestyle by wearing or displaying the red ribbon to celebrate Kiki’s commitment and legacy.
